Wine description
The Luigi Oddero's Barbaresco comes from the vineyards located in Rombone in the Treiso area (Piedmont), a hilly vineyards exposed to South-South West. This wine is ready to be enjoyed, however, it will age beautifully, as it goes on expressing its great qualities and noble austerity even after 8 to 10 years of bottle ageing.
Tasting Notes
Color: bright ruby-red with an orange tinge Scent: notes of wilted rose, sweet spices and small fruit Taste: dry, soft and velvety on the palate, great finesse, balance and elegance.
Vinification
Fermentation with maceration for 10 to 15 days with indigenous yeasts. The malolactic fermentation is carried out between the following winter and spring.
Ageing
In stainless steel vats and then 18 months in medium/large-size french oak barrels. 12 months in bottle.
