Wine description
Achille Viglione produces a limited quantity of bottles of Barbaresco Jacco in Serralunga d'Alba on Langhe hills in Piedmont. The high quality is due to a careful selection of the Nebbiolo grapes that are vinified after a late harvesting, so they can benefit of the autumn sun.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet is deep and persistent, with clear notes of wild roses, fruit and a touch of tar as a background. The aroma is full, dry and austere, very fine and elegant, light tannic nuance that blends in pleasant harmony, it is an explosion of surprising sensations that seem to never end.
Vinification
The Nebbiolo grapes are late harvested, and careful selected.
Ageing
Two years and a half in Slavonian oak barrels.
