Wine description
The Principiano's Barolo Serralunga is made with artisan methods and Organic viticulture, with grapes grown in vines planted in the valley of Boscareto in Serralunga d'Alba. The Barolo Serralunga is the most immediate of the Barolos in the Principiano Ferdinando winery, it's the one that first shows its soul. Natural and sincere it's an age-worthy wine that will keep its charatecter during the years.
Tasting Notes
Color: ruby red with garnet reflections Scent: black cherries and rhubarb with notes of rose petals, followed by licorice and cloves, leather and spices Taste: full and vigorous, with good tannins, a great juiciness and long finish.
Vinification
Fermentation without inoculated yeasts and without sulfur for about 1 month.
Ageing
24 months in 20 and 40 hectolitres barrels.
