Wine description
The Allegrini's La Poja is a red wine made with 100% Corvina grapes, on the parcel named 'La Poja', at the summit of the prestigious and historic La Grola hill (Veneto), the Corvina varietal has found its ideal terroir. A wine with an exceptional ageing potential: up to 20 years.
Tasting Notes
Dark ruby red color. Scent: wide fruity notes embellished with hints of spices and officinal herbs. Taste: juicy, long, harmonious and rich. A balanced taste, even fresh, characterized by a tannic texture of great delicacy and a vibrant persistence.
Vinification
Soft pressing of de-stemmed grapes. Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation done in November.
Ageing
Ageing 20 months in new barriques.
