Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva is a blend of Sangiovese together with other complementary varieties produced by the Antinori's family since 1928. In 2012, with the inauguration of the new winery Antinori in the heart of Chianti Classico, the family decided to reinterpret this Tuscan classic into a premium quality wine with unmistakable style.
Tasting Notes
Colour: ruby red with garnet reflections Scent: mineral, the nose reveals pleasant notes ripe black cherry, some hints of underbrush, rhubarb, wild red roses, violets and a spicy finish Taste: Vigorous, harmonious, lively tannins and boisé aftertaste
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation in steel vats, maceration for 20 days, the malolactic fermentation happens in steel vats and in second-hand barriques.
Ageing
24 months mainly in oak casks (60%) and the rest in barriques.
