Wine description
The Principiano's Barolo Ravera di Monforte is made with artisan methods and Organic viticulture, with grapes grown in fifty year old vines in Ravera, in Monforte d'Alba. It is an amazing expression of the territory, this Barolo Ravera is powerful and has an important personality that makes it able to evolve slowly for many years.
Tasting Notes
Color: garnet red Scent: hints of dark berry fruit, black cherries and blackberries, followed by aromas of spices, leather, tobacco and incense Taste: balanced and structured, with remarkable freshness and important tannins
Vinification
Fermentation without inoculated yeasts and without sulfur for about 1 month.
Ageing
24 months in 400L oak barrels.
