Barolo Sarmassa 2006 Brezza
Wine description
The Brezza's Barolo Sarmassa is an elegant and noble Barolo produced by the family only in great vintages in 9/10 years after the harvest. It's an elegant wine ready for consumption, but that will certainly lead to the third decade of the millennium.
Tasting Notes
Pale ruby with orange tinges. Notes of spices, cranberry, red cherry and dried roses in a very balanced wine; the tannins are elegant, the juice is creamy and with a long final.
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
Aged in used large Slavonian oaks from 1500L to 3000L of capacity for 24 months, then 12 months in bottle.
